Cracking weekend, on call, but I did get chance to nip to the @honley_show and briefly see these incredible Aldabra giant tortoises again! I didnโt get chance to see them properly as by the time Iโd got back from a cow caesarean everyone was packing up! (Confession..this is my fave snap of themโฆbut from the previous show! Anastasia at the time wasnโt too sure of them!) ๐ข๐ข๐ข

Challenge time again! So this year me and Joe are going to run the 15K tough mudder challenge in Skipton on Saturday the 25th July. Weโre doing it to help the RSPCA Halifax and Huddersfield branch raise funds for their new facility so they can help even more animals!
Itโs a big challenge as I havenโt been โfitโ for a long time, (ahem, dad bod..) so Iโve got a solid 10 week training schedule ahead of me!

Okay, so a lot of you have asked about this video, and yes, it was incredibly satisfying.
This little guy had managed, all on his own, to pass this bladder stone from his bladder down into his cloaca (rear opening)โฆ and unsurprisingly, it got stuck at the final hurdle. The only thing noticed beforehand was a small amount of blood when he passed a poo.
Itโs absolutely incredible he got this far, as many stones โ especially at this size โ require surgical removal, never mind one this mushroom shape!
Theyโre made of urate crystals and can take months, and in this case, I suspect could be years to form.
