About Matt
Matt works as a full-time mixed-practice vet in Yorkshire, in the north of England, and has done so for over 10 years. He graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.
Matt has a passion for large animals and exotics, and he has recently completed a certificate in exotic animal medicine.
He first appeared, along with his colleagues, on the popular television series *The Yorkshire Vet* in 2020, and has since featured on Channel 5โs *On the Farm* series, showcasing the team at Cannon Hall Farm.
“Mattโs first book, *My Life as a Yorkshire Vet*, was released on October 11, 2024. It details his life as a modern-day vet, encompassing the highs and lows of the profession, working through COVID, and continually rediscovering his passion in an ever-changing environment.”

Tonightโs Yorkshire vet is another cracker. And I am incredibly proud to have been asked to open the new reptile house at Kirklees college, absolutely chuffed to bits, there was a plaque too! ๐ What a surprise! An incredible effort by an awesome team and such a terrific facility! ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐
And thereโs also Andrew the wallaby who needs his bits off! More to come!! ๐ฆ๐ฆ Enjoy!

Hope youโve all had a smashing weekend! A few pictures from my first year as Emley show president, what an experience it was! I think I did okay ๐
Big thank-you to everyone that made it a brilliant day and a huge shout out to the incredible team that put it together!
And trying to pick a winner from an incredible grand parade was very hard! The enormous effort that goes into bringing animals to these shows, the training, the trimming and the early starts, huge congratulations to you all! ๐๐
Bring on 2027!

This is what your kind donations are going to support, and for those of you that didnโt know (even I didnโt to be honest!) , a lot of the RSPCA charities are actually independent charities that are self funded and run and actually separate from the national RSPCA!
And the @rspca_halifaxhuddsbradford team is one of them!
