Okay, so a lot of you have asked about this video, and yes, it was incredibly satisfying.
This little guy had managed, all on his own, to pass this bladder stone from his bladder down into his cloaca (rear opening)β¦ and unsurprisingly, it got stuck at the final hurdle. The only thing noticed beforehand was a small amount of blood when he passed a poo.
Itβs absolutely incredible he got this far, as many stones β especially at this size β require surgical removal, never mind one this mushroom shape!
Theyβre made of urate crystals and can take months, and in this case, I suspect could be years to form.
